Wesley
F. Gundlach, son
of Carl M. Gundlach, came to work for the business as a sheet metal helper
in 1936 for $10.00 a week. He left the Company briefly to attend the
Dunwoody Institute Trade School in Minneapolis and returned after
graduation in 1939. By 1951, he had joined the Board of Directors
and was elected secretary. In 1952 he was elected second vice
president and in 1956, president of the Company upon retirement of his
father. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 1973
until 1996. He remained on the board until his death, October 29,
2001. Wes served the Company for over 60 years.
