Hot Water Heaters
Gundlach Plumbing provides a wide variety of Hot Water Heating appliances.
Traditional electric and gas hot water tank will range in size from 30 -80 gallons. Gundlach installs most major contractor grade brands such as A.O. Smith, Bradford White, Rheem and Ruud. These economical water heater are designed for households that need an exceptional performer and provides long-lasting value.
Hot water tanks are rated with energy efficiencies from the standard 78% to Hi Efficiency units that can achieves 90% thermal efficiency which saves money on operating costs. Many products earn the Energy Star label.
Products that earn the ENERGY STAR label use less energy and prevent greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. With energy costs and global warming top-of-mind for consumers, Gundlach is committed to offering solutions that help consumers conserve energy and improve the quality of our environment.
Hi Efficiency Gas Hot Water tanks provided by Gundlach include the A.O. Smith “Vertex” for homes that demand more hot water than ever before, and 90% efficient. The Vertex power-vent gas water heater offers unprecedented levels of performance to meet the need. The 50-gallon Vertex delivers hot water output that rivals a 75-gallon atmospheric gas water heater. In fact, the fully condensing Vertex design is so advanced, it can deliver “endless hot water for showers”…a continuous flow of over 3 gallons per minute.* Yet Vertex is easy to install, with height, diameter and installation requirements similar to standard power-vent units.
Hi Efficiency Electric Hot Water tanks provided by Gundlach include the A.O. Smith Voltex Hybrid Electric Heat Pump Water Heater. The Voltex absorbs environmental heat and transfers it to heat the water, at the same time cooling and dehumidifying the ambient air. The 80-gallon tank means more energy created through the heat pump technology and can be stored, resulting in larger savings. It can operate in high efficiency, hybrid and traditional electric modes.
Tankless Hot water Heaters provided by Gundlach include Rinnia and Takagi. With tankless water heaters, you’ll enjoy up to 40% energy savings. That’s because these units are designed to be highly efficient and only heat water when it’s needed. When there is a demand for hot water, the unit senses the flow and starts the heating process. This results in hot water that is not limited to what’s available in your tank, so you always have clean, hot water when you want it for as long as you need it! When the demand for hot water ceases, the tankless unit shuts down and uses no energy. Tankless water heaters have an Energy factor >.82.
Let Gundlach assist you in selecting what size and type of Hot Water tank would best serve your needs.
“Point of Use” Mini Tank Water Heaters provided by Gundlach can be wall hung or floor mounted. They tap onto the cold water line and install the water heater directly to the sink to provide a small volume of hot water.

The Bradford White ICON System Accessory Packages work in conjunction with the recently introduced ICON System gas control. The packages include a fully programmable seven-day, four-period/day LCD digital control, leak detection (includes audible alarm and optional automatic cold water shut-off valve) and an integrated mixing device with multiple optional water connections.
Advanced Thermostatic Mixing Valve
Easy to install, advanced thermostatic mixing valve allows higher stored water temperatures, increasing
usable hot water by as much as 50% or more, while still providing comfortable outlet temperatures. Also
includes multiple optional water connections.
Leak Detection sensor
Sends signal to Accessory Module to sound the alarm if a leak is detected. Sensor will also send a signal to the Accessory Module and ICON Control to interrupt burner operation.
Drain Pan or Rubber Dam
A Drain Pan is placed under the hot water tank and directs the water from a leaking tank properly to prevent property damage. A Rubber Dam is installed around the base of the water heater to collect water . A Leak Detection Sensor is added in order to detect a leak if a drain pan is not present.
Inlet Shut-Off Valve
Automatically closes off the cold water inlet when a leak is detected to help limit damage.
Energy Saving Programmable Control
Save up to 36% with fully programmable control! Features 7-day/4-period programming, easy
installation, easy-to-read LCD display, temperature setback, hot water capacity indicator, approximate temperature readout, diagnostic display codes for installation and troubleshooting, and a battery
back-up.
