Carrier Air Conditioner Model Line Up
Carrier Air Conditioner Line Up
Willis Carrier invented the first air conditioner in 1902 and since then, Carrier® equipment is trusted in more homes than any other brand. Carrier's innovation and expertise has led to industry "firsts" which have shaped and defined home comfort today. Gundlach Sheet Metal is proud to offer the 2010 Carrier® line up of air conditioners: the Carrier Infinity Series, the Performance Series, and the Comfort Series.
Here are some things you should consider before you buy a new unit: Efficiency, Refrigerant, Comfort, Sound, and Reliability.
Efficiency
is measured by SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio). This measurement gauges cooling. All new models are required to have at least a 13.0 SEER rating. The Carrier Infinity 21 air conditioner receives up to 21.0 SEER. The government ENERGY STAR® guideline for energy efficiency is met by the Infinity® and Performance™ Series products.
Refrigerant
is changing. In 1990, the Clean Air Act prohibited the production of R-22 refrigerant based air conditioners and heat pumps by 2010 and R-22 production by 2020. As R-22 production declines, what is left is predicted to become expensive. Puron® Refrigerant, a new refrigerant that will not deplete ozone and is chlorine free, was produced by Carrier® Corporation a full six years ahead of the competition.
Comfort
is determined by individual needs. Our Indoor Comfort Specialist, Mike Rock, can help you find a home comfort system best suited to your home and your budget including Carrier®-exclusive features that further enhance your indoor environment.
Sound
shouldn't be painful
.
Home comfort shouldn't come at the expense of your hearing. Carrier air conditioners have quiet built right into them with the exclusive Silencer System™ that ensures extra quiet performance by maximizing airflow while minimizing vibration. Sound is measured in decibels. On a comparative sound rating scale per standard testing as described by ARI 270-95, normal conversation is around 60 decibels. The Carrier Infinity® 21 Air Conditioner measures 72 decibels while other typical standard air conditioning units measure 80 decibels. To learn more about comparative sound levels visit

.
Reliability
and durability go hand in hand. Carrier® Air Conditioners are protected with WeatherArmor™ and a galvanized steel cabinet to protect against corrosion keeping your unit looking new for years to come. Heavy-duty wire grilles prevent coil damage and promote optimum airflow through the unit while making cleaning easy. Infinity, Performance and Comfort units are even protected from weather damage like hail and wind-blown debris. The Carrier compressor design has the most trouble-free performance record of any compressor on the market today.
